• Analyze the problem.
• Transform the Voltage source to current source to become easy.
• Transforming Voltage to Current and Current to Voltage. Use Ohms Law.
• Transforming Voltage to Current.
• The resistor, capacitor, and inductor or etc. For example, base on this circuit, if you transform the voltage source to current source the Capacitor must parallel to the source. See circuit below!

• For the Current, the element must series to the voltage source. 
• Anyways, back to the topic you can parallel the inductor and capacitor.
• Then, use current division to get the current at 3 ohms.
• After getting the current for 3 ohms, use Ohms law to get the V.
